Take to the water and explore the local area from your canoe. Our instructors will help you learn some paddle skills and guide you on a journey along the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal. The canal was once an important transport route for industry and is now a beautiful waterway ideal for boating. Peaceful and rural, with a flavour of times gone by, it’s often voted Britain’s prettiest canal, so why not explore it for yourself?

Requirements:
No previous experience required
All participants must be 7 years or older
Any participants under 18 must be accompanied by a paid participating adult
If you, or those you are booking on behalf of, have a medical condition, illness, any physical disability or additional need which may affect your ability to participate in an activity, please contact the centre prior to making your booking.

Please note: For safety reasons, this activity carries a weight limit of 20 stone.

Additional Info:

• The taster day is likely to take place from a venue near Brecon. We will inform you as early as possible where to meet your instructor - we may then need to transport you to a different starting location if there is limited parking at that site.
• Our instructor will meet you at 10am, and the taster day will run until 4pm (including a lunch break).
• Lunch is not included, please bring your own packed lunch and drinks.
• Any parking charges are not included.
