Do you want to explore the Brecon Beacons but aren't sure where to start?   Our guided mountain walk days are for you!   Our experienced instructors are qualified Mountain Leader's who will lead you on a memorable mountain walk, where you will explore the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park and reach one of it's peaks. We prefer not to follow the well-trodden paths, so you will enjoy the tranquility of the outdoors while learning about the area. 

As you hike the mountains, our instructors will also inform you of the geology of the area, it's natural history and the flora and fauna around you.  You will also have the opportunity to learn about the Geopark.

This guided walking day is great for families, couples or groups visiting the area wanting to explore the national park and learn a bit more about it along the way.  

Please note, this will be in a group setting so the routes may be dependant on other participants' abilities.  If you would prefer a more personal adventure, please get in touch to discuss a personalised Mountain Walk where the day can be tailored to your requirements and abilities. You will be able to discuss the route with the instructor beforehand incase you have any preferences.

Requirements:
No previous experience required
All participants must be 7 years or older
Any participants under 18 must be accompanied by a paid participating adult
If you, or those you are booking on behalf of, have a medical condition, illness, any physical disability or additional need which may affect your ability to participate in an activity, please contact the centre prior to making your booking.

Additional Info:

• The walking day is likely to take place from a venue near Brecon. We will inform you as early as possible where to meet your instructor - we may then need to transport you to a different starting location if there is limited parking at that site.
• Our instructor will meet you at 10am, and the taster day will run until 4pm (including a lunch break).
• Lunch is not included, please bring your own packed lunch and drinks.
• Any parking charges are not included.
