Light Up Canoeing - Bookings by Boat (2 people) Canal 225 Special!
Experience the Magic of Light Up Canoeing while celebrating 225 years of the Canal!
Get ready for an unforgettable adventure with our Light Up Canoeing experience! This unique activity is unlike anything else we offer and promises to be a visual and sensory delight.
We decorate the canoes with colourful lights, and let you take them to the water. It's a truly amazing sight! And for this week only, you'll be paddling alongside the lanterns celebrating the canal's anniversary!

Our instructors will meet you at a specified starting location (different each day as we move alongside the celebrations from Gilwern to Brecon), help you learn some paddle skills and then guide you on a journey along the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal.
We anticipate starting the canoeing session at 6:00pm from the walking procession’s end point (which may also be the start point if the route is circular). From there, we’ll get on the water and paddle to the procession’s starting location if needed—or simply paddle out and back if both start and end points are the same. At 6:30pm, we’ll begin paddling alongside the procession. This timing ensures that the canoeing session concludes at the same time and place as the walking procession, allowing you to seamlessly join any additional activities planned by the community—such as photo opportunities with the lantern pony, food / drink (please check with your community leader for more information on any of this).
So what are you waiting for? Book your boat now before they're sold out!
