RYA Intermediate Windsurf

Ready to progress your skills, making your windsurfing faster and more fluid?
Our instructors will help you build your confidence on the water, coach you through more fluid transitions and introduce new techniques such as beach starting and using a harness.

By the end of the course, you will be using more advanced sails, be more confident in sailing in stronger winds, and have faster tacking and gybing.

Requirements:
- Participants for this course must have windsurfing skills to the standard of RYA start windsurfing, or youth course stage 2 - please see RYA Brochure for assumed knowledge
- All those aged 14 and 15 must be accompanied by a participating adult, if this is not possible, please look at our youth courses

Additional Information:
- Course runs 0930 - 1700 both days
- Lunch is not provided. Please bring your own packed lunch or grab a bite to eat at our cafe.

- National Windsurfing Scheme Syllabus and Logbook is an optional add-on for the course - This book contains essential information on the RYA Windsurfing syllabus including the new foiling courses, a section for your personal log entries, and a place to attach the certificates that you earn along the way.
- Intermediate Windsurf Handbook is an optional add-on for the course - it is the second title in the RYA windsurfing series and a natural progression from RYA Start Windsurfing.  This book helps improve your level by learning how to sail in stronger winds, getting to grips with the harness & footstraps, and an introduction to more dynamic transitions. Contents include Launching & landing, Harnessing, Getting Going & Early Planing, Blasting Control, Fast Tacking, Gybing
