Youth Groups at Calshot Castle

At Calshot Castle, it’s rich history and defensive coastal location make it the perfect place for young people to explore, have fun and get a hands on feel for local history. 
From the battles of Tudor England through to the military and seacraft history of the 21st Century there are literally 100’s of years of history waiting to be explored. 
Our sessions are 90 minutes long and are fun, educational and led by one of our instructors. 
Our sessions come with resources that are aligned to both Scout and Guide badges but are a fun, exciting and innovative way to entertain any youth group looking for new adventures.

Please be advised that English Heritage membership holders and any children they wish to include must also pay when booking.

Requirements:
Able to traverse the uneven stone courtyard, which can become slippery, and the tower steps. These are worn and uneven in places.
Minimum number of participants is 10. Maximum number of participants is 30 at a time. This is the restriction per floor. If you wish to bring a party larger than 30, please contact us.
Children must be accompanied by an adult/adequate supervision.
The castle is not accessible for wheelchairs and prams – there are steep, uneven steps climbing the keep.
 Service dogs are permitted

Additional Information:
Looking to enjoy the castle as an individual or for a casual visit? The castle is open for general admission every Fri, Sat, Sun.
We do not sell the activity badges themselves on site.
Parking is included for the person booking the party but other attendees will need to pay for parking on departure.
