Lowland Leader Assessment
The Lowland Leader assessment is two days long. You will be assessed against the syllabus competencies in the candidate handbook. At the end of the assessment you will receive one of three results:
- Pass
- Defer (requires a partial reassessment)
- Fail (requires a full reassessment)
To book an assessment
- You must be at least 18 years old
- You must have attended a Lowland Leader training course (or have been granted exemption)
- You must be familiar with the syllabus
- You must have recorded a minimum of 20 quality lowland days walks in different types of terrain (woodland, coastal, farmland etc) OR 10 + a Hill Skills course
- You must have a current first aid certificate, gained by completing an in-person (not online) course which involved at least two full days or sixteen hours of instruction and included an element of assessment.
