Velotech Bronze
This award is ideal if you're looking to formalise experiences and learnings of cycle mechanics - whether you're a MTB leader, school teacher, instructor at an outdoor centre or even a parent keen to ensure the family’s bikes are safe and up to spec. We teach you how to inspect and sign off bicycles (except e-bikes) as being ‘up to standard’ – specifically the British Standard associated with bikes.
Aims:
The aim is to leave you as an accredited Bronze Velotech award holder. There is an assessment task towards the end of the day and there are multiple choice question papers as part of the accreditation process.
Is it for me?
This course is designed for those needing to inspect and sign off bikes as safe for use - or for those tired of paying for someone else to service your bike! It is a great way in for those fairly new to the world of cycle mechanics. Key aspects are introduced at a level that will lead you through to the higher levels with confidence.
